We are writing to you from the airport in El Salvador as we await our flight to Managua, Nicaragua. We departed Bucknell University yesterday morning and drove 3 hours to the airport in DC. We were in for a surprise because our flight was delayed 4 hours in DC. You read it right—4 hours! There was nearly a riot on the plane. Of course, we are kidding but we were definitely not expecting such a long delay. Nonetheless everyone was extremely flexible and patient as they waited for the plane to refuel and prepare for departure. Once the plane was up and running, we arrived in El Salvador last night at around 11:00 pm and ended up staying at a hotel for the night since we were all tired from traveling. The hotel we went to was super accommodating and not to mention the food was absolutely delicious. The weather here in El Salvador is warm, definitely better than the cold we fared in Lewisburg. We woke up at 5:00 am this morning and safely made it to the airport. All of us are very excited to arrive to Managua and start exploring. Our flight to Managua takes off at 8:40 am which means that we will arrive in Managua at around 9:40 am. Hopefully there is no delay this time around, so fingers crossed! We are close to boarding so I am going to sign off but look forward to more posts throughout the week.
